You need
valid License Files to install Agilent 89600-series software floating
licenses on your server.
To obtain these License Files, complete the fields on this page. Please
provide the License Certificate Numbers for all the 89600 software options
that are to be activated on the license server designated via the Host
ID you provide. Remember that a License Certificate Number can be used
for new activations only once, and that an Update Certificate Number can
also be used only once.
If you have several License Certificates that you want to activate on
several different license servers, please submit a separate request for
each separate license server.
Each License Certificate was intended activate licenses on just one designated
server. If you need to split the licenses shown on a single License Certificate
across multiple license servers, please contact us for assistance.
Your License File(s) will be sent back to you via email or Fax, based
on the value you enter in the Email or Fax field.

Note: The floating
license files issued for 89601AN and 89604AN contain license keys (codewords)
that Agilent will automatically renew every 18 months. To facilitate this,
please keep the contact information you send to us current. If your software
notifies you that a renewal is needed, and you have not received a renewal
from Agilent, please contact us immediately using any of the methods outlined
above. Failure to do so will lead to loss of access to the software until
the license keys are renewed.

Redundant License Servers
If you want to set up a redundant license server configuration, you will need to install 89600 License Support on each of the 3 server computers, and you will need to provide the (first) Host ID from each of the 3 servers in the Host ID box on the form. For more information, refer to the Setting Up a Floating License Server chapter of the 89600 Series Installation and VXI Service Guide. This approach is not generally recommended since it requires additional system administration effort.
License Server Host ID
Provide the Host ID for your license server computer. Please copy/paste
the Host ID into the form or message, if possible.
To obtain the Host ID, do the following on your license server computer:
Click Start > (All) Programs > Agilent 89600 License Support
> Server > Host ID
You should see one or more strings. Please provide only the first
one shown.
If you do not see Agilent 89600 License Support after clicking Start
> (All) Programs, then install 89600 License Support by completing
the following steps:
1) Insert the 89600 Series Software CD-ROM. Autoplay will start the
Agilent 89600 Installation Manager.
2) Select Install Agilent 89600 VSA
3) On the Installation Options page, select Custom Installation, then
click Next
4) Check the box for 89600 License Support
5) Click Next and complete the license support installation.
6) For more information on installing license servers, refer to the Setting Up a Floating License Server
chapter of the 89600 Series Installation and VXI Service Guide.
If you are using the redundant license server configuration, see the
note above.

License Server Name (Customer’s
name for the license server computer)
This name is optional and is included for your convenience.
Fill in the word or phrase that you use to identify the computer. It might
be the name of the person who uses the machine, such as John Doe’s
PC, or it might be an identifier that your company has assigned to the
computer, such as lab214. If you provide this information, we include
it in any correspondence we send you. This might be useful if you are
installing licenses on more than one computer, so you can identify which
license file goes on which computer. (You may wish to provide 3 computer
names if you are using the redundant license server approach; see above.)
89600 Software Version
This is the version of the Agilent 89600-series software for which you
are requesting a license (e.g. 5.00, etc.). To obtain your version, look
at the CD or the Readme.txt file or start your 89600-Series software and
click Help > About ...
License Certificate Number
The License Certificate Number is on the License Certificate (printed
on colored parchment) that was shipped with your software. Provide the
License Certificate numbers for all the 89600 software options that are
to be activated on this license server computer.
A License Certificate Number can be used for new activations
only once.
Update Certificate Number
This number appears on the Update Certificate that is shipped to Software
Update Service customers.
An Update Certificate Number can be used only once.
