Supported Uplink Channels and Frequencies

The Uplink Channel setting specifies the uplink UTRA Absolute RF Channel Number (UARFCN). This automatically sets the test set's receiver to the expected UE transmit frequency.

The relationship between UARFCN and uplink frequency is described in 3GPP TS 25.101 section 5.

How to set the Uplink Channel directly:

This parameter directly sets the Uplink Channel setting to a specific uplink UARFCN value.

The Uplink Channel setting is located on the RF Analyzer tab of the RF Control window. To change this via the front panel:

  1. On the front panel, under SCREENS, press the Main/Call key to display the RF Control window.

  2. Select the RF Analyzer tab.

  3. Set the Control Mode to Manual

  4. Set Manual Mode to Channel.

  5. Set Uplink Channel to the desired value.

SCPI Command: RFANalyzer:MANual:CHANnel:WCALibration

How to automatically set the Uplink Channel by changing the Uplink Channel Separation:

When Control Mode is set to Auto, the uplink UARFCN is automatically determined by the Uplink Channel Separation setting (the test set subtracts the frequency separation associated with the DL Channel's band from the DPCH DL Channel setting).

To set the RF Analyzer Control Mode to Auto:

  1. Press the Main/Call key to display the RF Control window.

  2. Select the RF Generator tab.

  3. Set the correct DTCH DL Channel or Frequency (depending on the Control Mode setting).

  4. Select the RF Analyzer tab.

  5. Set the Control Mode to Auto

  6. Set the Uplink Channel Separation.

SCPI command: RFANalyzer:CONTrol:FREQuency:AUTO:WCALibration
