E1976A 1xEV-DO Terminal Test Application Revision Information

This document describes features and functionality that are part of the Agilent Technologies E1976A 1xEV-DO Terminal Test Application releases. This document contains the original features, as well as enhancements that have been added over time.

CAUTION

You may need to upgrade the hardware in your test set before installing the application firmware described here. If you install application firmware on a test set with incompatible hardware, the following may occur:

Your test set may lock up (see Test Set Lockup Due to Power Up Sequence ).
The application may not run.
Some features in the application may be inaccessible, or may not perform to specifications.

Access Network Emulation

This release includes the following features and functionality present in the E1966A 1xEV-DO Terminal Test Application A.09.13 Release - September 2008 in the IS-856 Test Operating Mode .

FM Converter (See FM Broadcast )
Graphical Waveform Quality (See Waveform Quality + Code Domain Measurement Description )
Constellation and rho Quality Graphics can be displayed to give a graphical view of the waveform quality of the AT.
Tx Timing Advance(See Tx Timing Advance )
Tx Timing Advance can be set on the test set to compensate the loopback delay in case a component with excessive RF delay is included in the test environment.
1xEV-DO Multicarrier IS-856 Test Mode. See Multi-carrier Multi-unit (MCMU) .
Cellular Upper 700 Band

Cellular Upper 700 Band (Band Class 7) has been added to support new frequency. See CALL:BAND and CALL:SETup:BAND<[:SELected]|:DIGital856> .

A.01.20 Release - May 2007

This is a maintenance release to resolve known issues. The features offered in this release are identical to those offered in the A.01.18 Release - March 2007 .

A.01.18 Release - March 2007

NOTE

After installing this firmware release, you must run the Digital Average Power calibration. Ensure that your test set has warmed up at least 30 minutes and that no power is present at the front panel RF connectors before performing any calibrations.

Access Network Emulation

E1976A 1xEV-DO Factory Test Mode Test Application is the subnet of E1966A 1xEV-DO Test Application. The features and functionality offered in this test application are identical to those offered in the E1966A 1xEV-DO Terminal Test Application Revision Information . E1976A Test Application supports both Release 0 and Release A in IS-856 Test Operating Mode but not in Active Cell Operating Mode . For more information about the features E1976A Test Application can support, please refer to A.07.18 Release - March 2007 and IS-856 Test Operating Mode .
