Call Drop Timer

Call Drop Timer

Last updated: May 24, 2006

The call drop timer can be enabled (turned on) or disabled (turned off).

Once a data connection is established, if the call drop timer is enabled, the call drop timer is started.

When the call drop timer is turned on, if the test set is unable to correctly decode the reverse link for a period of 5 seconds, the call drop timer expires and the test set drops the data connection without signaling (and transitions to the Session Open State ).

If the test set is able to decode the reverse signal, the call drop timer is reset.
