External Trigger Type

External Trigger Type

Last updated: May 24, 2006

External trigger type selects the trigger that is routed to the rear panel TRIG OUT port (see Rear Panel Connectors ). The triggers are based off of the internal clocks/references of the test set and are the same signals that are used to trigger the measurements and data connection processing functionality.

External Trigger Type
Trigger Description
1.67 ms (1 slot) Slot clock
26.67 ms (1 frame) Frame clock (short sequence rollover)
426.67 ms (16 frames) Control Channel Cycle
2 s Even second clock

External trigger type can be changed at any time.

In addition to the user selected external trigger type, there is also a fixed external trigger that is always present at the BASEBAND I/O port, which triggers each time a power control bit is generated.
