Prior Session Restore State

This section is only applicable to the lab application.

When the AT moves to a new 1xEV-DO AN whose subnet is different than the one assigning the previous UATI, you can set the Prior Session Restore State parameter to control whether to restore the prior session between AT and AN during the session negotiation.

• When the Prior Session Restore State is set to On
  • If the AT sends a PriorSession attribute with a non-zero Restore field and a valid UATI (UATI for the prior session), the test set will trigger a procedure of restoring the prior session. The previous session information will be used and no further negotiation is needed.
  • If the AT does not send a PriorSession attribute request, the test set will close the existing session and negotiate a whole new session with the AT.
• When the Prior Session Restore State is set to Off , the test set simply rejects the PriorSession attribute from the AT and continues with a whole new session negotiation.
