Waveform Quality Measurement Troubleshooting
Last updated: June 16, 2006
If the access probe power measurement is on and waiting to measure a probe, all other measurements (except digital average power) will not be able to execute. It is therefore recommended that you turn off the access probe power measurement before attempting any other measurements.
Troubleshooting Techniques
-
Check to see if an integrity indicator other than 0 (normal) was returned with a measurement result (see
Integrity Indicator
).
Other Considerations
-
For subtype 0 physical layer, the waveform quality + code domain measurement always uses the
RTAP Rate
parameter to demodulate R-Data channel. So when the specified R-Data data rate is different from the actual R-Data data rate, the measurement results are incorrect. For example, the measurement can be accessed in FTAP and Default Packet Application connection where the results look good but should not be used because the actual R-Data date rate does not match the specified value.
Instead of using the specified
R-Data Pkt Size
, the subtype 2 waveform quality + code domain measurement uses the actual payload size detected from the R-RRI channel (R-RRI channel carries the payload size and sub-packet identifier information) to demodulate the R-Data channel. The results reflect the current reverse link data signal.
-
To avoid over range or under range integrity indicators, correct for system path loss (see
Amplitude Offset
).
-
If you are manually controlling the test set's receiver, be certain that you have entered the correct frequency and power values for your test setup (see
Receiver Control
).
