Multi-carrier Troubleshooting

Last updated: August 7, 2008

This section is only applicable to the lab application and to a test application with the required feature license.

Possible Setup Issues

Operating Considerations

  • It is recommended that the Main unit is setup as the Sync Server during multi-unit synchronization. See Multi-unit Synchronization .
  • It is required that Data Connection Status is Idle during Multi-unit Synchronization.
  • Automatic MC Setup is only allowed to be executed when Data Connection Status is Idle or Session Open, but it is recommended to keep Data Connection Status at Idle on all units prior to Automatic MC Setup.
  • During the Multi-carrier setup, it is recommended to keep Data Connection Status at Idle on all units prior to hardware connection step. This is accomplished in the Multi-carrier Test Application Typical Setup Steps to make sure that the AT is not connected until after the hardware connection.
  • Once a test set is configured as an Aux unit, it will not be able to end a session.
  • To Close Session, you can set the Call Limit Mode to On and close session, then set the Cell Power State to Off and Call Limit to Off on the Main unit. When you force the Data Connection Status to Idle, make sure that Cell Power is On if you want to negotiate a session at Hardware Connections. or later.
