How Do I Set Up Data Channel Parameters?

This section is only applicable to the lab application.

  1. Press the CALL SETUP key.
  2. Press the left More key until 3 of 3 is displayed.
  3. Press the Data Channel Info ( F2 ) key.
  4. Press the Data Channel Parameters ( F1 ) key.
  5. Turn the knob to highlight a parameter and enter/select a value as desired.

Data Channel Parameters

For Example: How to configure Home Agent Shared Secret

  1. Turn the knob to highlight the Home Agent Shared Secret (Hex) parameter and press the knob, then a mini center menu pops up, and "A-F" softkeys show in right menu for Hex digit input.
  2. Input hex string with length from 0 to 32, as the picture shows, "0123456789ABCDEF0123456789ABCDEF", with a length of 32, is assigned to the parameter.

NOTE
More than 32 characters results in error -223 "Too much data". An acceptable number of characters, but with 1 or more not in the acceptable set of characters results in error -222, "Data out of range". Odd number of hexadecimal digits input results in error +153, "Even number of hexadecimal digits is required". The return string is also 0-32 characters with the characters from the set 0123456789ABCDEF.
