Calling party number parameters can be specified and sent to the called mobile station so that you can evaluate the mobile station's behavior in response to the calling party number (for example, to see whether the mobile station displays the calling party's number as expected). There are two calling parties in the test set.
When you originate a call from the test set in a voice or loopback service option (see Service Option ), the information record of the calling party 1 is sent to the called mobile station via the Alert With Information Message (AWIM) identified by the RECORD_TYPE field with a value of 00000011. See How Do I Perform Calling Party Number Verification? for the detailed procedure.
Calling Party 1 is also used for the Call Waiting test together with calling party 2.
Calling party 2 is only applicable to the Call Waiting test, which is supported in voice service options only. In the test, calling party 1 and 2 parameters are specified and included in the Flash With Information Message (FWIM) or Extended Flash With Information Message (EFWIM) sent to the mobile station when there is a waiting call. See Call Waiting Parameters for details.
When the test set is in the Active Cell operating mode with IS-2000 or IS-95 system type selected, the following calling party number parameters can be specified under the Calling Party Number Parameters menu by pressing
