Calling Party Number Parameters

Parameters Description

When the test set is in the Active Cell operating mode with IS-2000 or IS-95 system type selected, the following calling party number parameters can be specified under the Calling Party Number Parameters menu by pressing F10 ( Calling Party Number Parms ) on the Call Parms 4 of 4 .

• Calling Party Number Inclusion ( CALL:CPNumber:INCLusion ): specifies whether or not the calling party number information records are sent to the called mobile station. The definition and setup of parameters for calling party 1 and calling party 2 are totally same. If Include is selected, the five calling party 1 parameters can be specified and included in the AWIM message sent to the called mobile station. And in the Call Waiting test, calling party 1 and 2 parameters can be specified and included in the FWIM or EFWIM sent to the mobile station when there is a waiting call.
  • Calling Party Number (CHARi) ( CALL:CPNumber[1][:SELected] and CALL:CPNumber2[:SELected] ): indicates the ASCII representation of each character in the calling party number. Up to 20 characters from the set of 0123456789abc*# can be entered but up to 14 characters can be displayed. If the entered string is greater than 14 characters, only the first 11 entered characters followed by a "..." are displayed. The digits of 0-9 are entered from the DATA ENTRY keys and the characters of "abc*#" are entered from the new displayed softkeys on the right of the screen. If Calling Party 1 Number is set to the same value as Calling Party 2 Number, the change will be rejected and an error will be generated.
  • Number Type (NUMBER_TYPE) ( CALL:CPNumber[1]:TYPE and CALL:CPNumber2:TYPE ): specifies the type of number used for the calling party number. See Number Types
  • Number Plan (NUMBER_PLAN) ( CALL:CPNumber[1]:PLAN CALL:CPNumber2:PLAN ): specifies the numbering plan used for the calling party number. See Number Plan
  • Presentation Indicator (PI) ( CALL:CPNumber[1]:PRESentation[:INDicator] and CALL:CPNumber2:PRESentation[:INDicator] ): specifies whether or not to allow the calling party number displayed on the called mobile station's screen. See Presentation Indicators
  • Screening Indicator (SI) ( CALL:CPNumber[1]:SCReening[:INDicator] CALL:CPNumber2:SCReening[:INDicator] ): indicates how the calling number was screened. See Screening Indicators
