How Do I Perform Call Waiting Test?

This section is only applicable to the lab application.
There are two typical test scenarios using Call Waiting functionality in the test set which are specified in 3GPP2 C.S0043-0 Version 1.0. These two scenarios verify all possible state transitions described in
Call Waiting State Transition
.

Test scenario 1 is to simulate switching the voice call between two calling parties.

Test scenario 2 is to simulate rejecting the second call when the test set has been in a voice call.
The procedures are detailed below:
Call Waiting Test Scenario 1

Press the
Call Setup
key.

Verify that the
Operating Mode
(
F1
) is set to Active Cell and the
System Type
(
F2
) is set to
IS-2000
or
IS-95
.

Press the
FCH Service Option Setup
(
F12
) key and set a voice service option (such as SO1, SO3, SO17, SO68, or SO32768) for the current radio configuration.

Press the
More
key on the lower left side of the test set until
5 of 5
of the
call control
menu is displayed.

Press the
F3

Call Waiting Info
), then press the
F1
(
Calling Party Number Parms
). The Calling Party Number Parameters menu is displayed. See
