This section is only applicable to the lab application.

Forward Power Control

Step 2: Set up FPC Mode
-
- On
FPC Info 1 of 2
, press the F3 ( FPC Mode
).
- Set the FPC Mode to
011-EIB
.
Step 3: Establish a call
-
- Establish a call in radio configuration (Fwd3, Rvs3) or above with loopback service option (such as SO2, 9, or 55). See How Do I Set Up a Call? for detailed procedure.
Step 4: Set up F-FCH Frame Pattern
-
- Press the right-side of More key until the
Call Parms 4 of 4
menu is displayed.
- On
Call Parms 4 of 4
, press the F9 ( F-FCH Frame Pattern Setup

- On the
F-FCH/Traffic Frame Pattern Setup
menu, set the following parameters as desired. For example,
-
- Set the

The test set starts to send a sequence of good and bad frames (alternating 50 good and 50 bad 20 ms frames in this example) to the mobile station on the F-FCH.
It is expected there is no signaling message sent during forward power control EIB test. Otherwise, the
Signaling Frame Quality
setting may have impact on the EIB test result. See
Signaling Frame Quality for details.
