ESN
Electronic Serial Number. It is a 32-bit number assigned by the mobile station manufacturer, uniquely identifying the mobile station equipment. The mobile stations reports this information to the test set in the
Registration Message
.
When an MEID-equipped mobile station registers, a pseudo-ESN is reported and displayed on ESN field. The mobile station uses the following rules to derive pseudo-ESN from MEID:

The upper 8 bits of pseudo-ESN are set to 0x80.

The lower 24 bits of pseudo-ESN are the 24 least significant bits of the SHA-1 digest of the MEID.
MCC
Mobile Country Code. It is a part of the E.212 IMSI identifying the home country. The mobile stations reports this information to the test set in the
Registration Message
.
MNC
Mobile Network Code. It is a part of the E.212 IMSI identifying the home network within the home country. The mobile stations reports this information (if supported) to the test set in the
Registration Message
.
MSIN
Mobile Station Identification Number. It is a part of the IMSI identifying the mobile subscriber identity. The mobile stations reports this information to the test set in the
Registration Message
.
Slot Class
A mobile station can be either "Slotted" or "Non-Slotted". It is part of the mobile station's Station Class Mark information. The mobile stations reports this information to the test set in the
Registration Message
.
Slot Cycle Index
Indicates the programmed slot cycle index of the mobile station. The allowed range is 0 - 7. The slot cycle index defines how often the mobile station will "wake up" and check the paging channel. The formula for the time associated with the index is 2^(slot cycle index) x 1.28 seconds. The minimum time period is 1.28 seconds. The maximum value is 163.84 seconds. The mobile stations reports this information to the test set in the
Registration Message
.
The maximum slot cycle index allowed by the test set can be specified (see
Setting Cell Parameters
Protocol Revision
Indicates the highest protocol revision supported by the mobile station. IS-95A = P_REV 1, J-STD-008 = P_REV 2, TSB-74 = P_REV 3, IS-95B = P_REV 4&5, IS-2000-0 = P_REV 6, IS-2000-A = P_REV 7.
The highest protocol revision supported by the test set can be specified (see

).
Band Class
Indicates the band classes supported by the mobile station, such as US Cellular, US PCS, Korean PCS, Japan CDMA, and IMT-2000. This information is obtained by querying the mobile station with a
Status Request Message
after the test set receives the mobile
registration message
. When the
Status Request Query
is set to Off, the test set does not request the mobile station to report its band classes during registration.

MS Operating Mode
Indicates whether the mobile station supports CDMA only or both CDMA and AMPS (Dual Mode). This information is obtained by querying the mobile station with a
Status Request Message
after the test set receives the mobile
registration message
. When the
Status Request Query
is set to Off, the test set does not request the mobile station to report the operating mode for each band class during registration.
Max EIRP
Mobile MAX_EIRP (Maximum Effective Isotropic Radiated Power) expressed in dBW (MAX_EIRP= -7 dBW). This information is obtained by querying the mobile station with a
Status Request Message
after the test set receives the mobile
registration message
. When the
Status Request Query
is set to Off, the test set does not request the mobile station to report the max EIRP (if the MS operating mode is CDMA) for each band class during registration. See also

Register Type
Indicates the type of registration the mobile station sent. This is indicated in the registration message from the mobile station. The test set supports Power Up, Timer Based, and Zone Based registrations. The mobile stations reports this information to the test set in the
Registration Message
.

).
QPCH Supported
Indicates if the mobile station supports the Quick Paging Channel (IS-2000 only). The mobile stations reports this information to the test set in the
Registration Message
.

).
Enhance RC Supported
Indicates if the mobile station supports Enhanced Radio Configurations (that is, RC Class 2 which consists of RC 3 and RC 4 for the Reverse Traffic Channel, and RC 3, RC 4 and RC 5 for the Forward Traffic Channel). The mobile stations reports this information to the test set in the
Registration Message
.
Minimum Power Control Step
Indicates the minimum closed loop power control step size. IS-95B and IS-2000 support steps of 1 dB, 0.5 dB and 0.25 dB. The mobile station is only required to support 1 dB and can optionally support 0.5 and 0.25 dB steps. This information is obtained by querying the mobile station with a
Status Request Message
after the test set receives the mobile
registration message
. When the
Status Request Query
is set to Off, the test set does not request the mobile station to report this information during registration.
MS Called Party Number
This is the number the user dialed into the mobile station when a mobile originated call is established with the test set.
MEID Supported
Indicates whether the mobile station is an ESN-equipped or an MEID-equipped equipment. It is included in the bit 4 of Station Class Mark (SCM) in the mobile
registration message
. The value of 1 indicates an MEID-equipped mobile station while zero indicates an ESN-equipped mobile station.
When an MEID-equipped mobile station is detected (

, the test set will send a

to the MS to retrieve its MEID value and then display the result on the

Mobile Equipment Identifier. It is a 56-bit number assigned by the mobile station manufacturer, uniquely identifying the mobile station. It is designed as an alternative to ESN (32-bit number) due to ESN exhaustion.
When an MEID-equipped mobile station is detected (

The MEID result is displayed in two formats:

MEID (Hex): 14 digit hexadecimal number, where the first 8 digits representing the manufacturer code and the last 6 digits representing the serial number.

MEID (Dec): 18 digit decimal number, where the first 10 decimal digits are the equivalent of the first 8 hexadecimal digits representing the manufacturer code and the last 8 decimal digits are the equivalent of the last 6 hexadecimal digits representing the serial number.
