How Do I Change Test Set's Receiver Control Parameters?

In some instances you may want to control the test set's receiver settings manually rather than allowing the test set to automatically control them. This ability is referred to as manual receiver control (see Receiver Control ). There are some differences to change the test set's receiver control parameters while in different operating mode:

• To Access Receiver Control Settings in Active Cell or Cell Off Operating Mode
• To Access Receiver Control Settings in IS-2000 Test Operating Mode
• To Access Receiver Control Settings in AVC Test Operating Mode
• To Access Receiver Control Settings in CW Operating Mode

To Access Receiver Control Settings in Active Cell or Cell Off Operating Mode

1. Press the CALL SETUP key.
2. Press the More key until 3 of 3 is displayed.
3. To set the receiver's expected power, press the Rcvr Power Ctrl ( F8 ) key and select Manual .
4. Press the Receiver Power ( F9 ) key and enter a desired value by using the knob or numeric keys.
5. To set the receiver's measurement downconverter tune frequency, press the Meas Frequency ( F10 ) key and enter a desired value to replace the Auto .

To Access Receiver Control Settings in IS-2000 Test Operating Mode

1. Press the CALL SETUP key.
2. Press the More key until 2 of 2 is displayed.
3. To set the receiver's expected power, press the Rcvr Power Ctrl ( F8 ) key and select Manual .
4. Press the Receiver Power ( F9 ) key and enter a desired value by using the knob or numeric keys.
5. To set the receiver's measurement downconverter tune frequency, press the Meas Frequency ( F10 ) key and enter a desired value to replace the Auto .
6. To set the receiver's demodulation downconverter tune frequency, press Rvs Link Freq ( F11 ) key and enter a desired value to replace the Auto .

   

NOTE

Manual control of the demodulation receiver frequency is rarely needed. Use the measurement receiver when manual receiver frequency control is required.

3. To set the receiver's expected power, press the Rcvr Power Ctrl ( F8 ) key and select Manual .
4. Press the Receiver Power ( F9 ) key and enter a desired value by using the knob or numeric keys.
5. To set the receiver's measurement downconverter tune frequency, press the Meas Frequency ( F10 ) key and enter a desired value to replace the Auto .
6. To set the receiver's demodulation downconverter tune frequency, press Rvs Link Freq ( F11 ) key and enter a desired value to replace the Auto .

1. Press the CALL SETUP key.
2. Press the Receiver Control ( F12 ) key.
3. Turn the knob to highlight a selection and then press the knob.
4. Enter a desired value by using the knob or numeric keys.
