Maximum/Minimum Power Measurement Troubleshooting
Last updated: October 28, 2004
The maximum/minimum power measurement does not run concurrently with any other measurements. If any measurements are running, they are closed when Maximum/Minimum power measurement is initiated, and a message is displayed indicating that a measurement has been closed. Activating another measurement inactivates the maximum/minimum power measurement.
The Maximum/Minimum power measurement uses single triggering. Press the
START SINGLE
key to trigger each measurement. See
Triggering of Measurements
for details on trigger settings.
Troubleshooting Techniques
Check to see if an integrity indicator other than 0 (normal) was returned with a measurement result (see
Integrity Indicator
).
-
If Over Range (5) is returned; the input power has exceeded +37 dBm or is greater than +9 dB above the expected power level of the receiver.
-
If Under Range (6) is returned; the input power is below -61 dBm or is less than -9 dB below the expected power level of the receiver.
-
If the signal has both over range and under range conditions, only the over range (5) will be indicated.
