How Do I Change the Payload Pattern Sent to the Mobile Station?

Change the GSM Downlink Speech Payload

This procedure details how to access the speech payload.

1. Press CALL SETUP .
2. Press Operating Mode ( F1 ) and chose Active Cell (GSM) or GSM BCH + TCH . Note that speech data is transmitted on the downlink TCH.
3. Press TCH Parameter s F8 .
4. Press More on the bottom right corner to display the TCH Parms menu (2 of 2 ).
5. Press Speech (F10) . This brings up the Speech menu (as shown below) with the list of choices for the Downlink Speech Source.
   

Change the GPRS/EGPRS Payload Pattern

This procedure details how to access the data payload pattern.

1. Press CALL SETUP .
2. Press Operating Mode ( F1 ) and chose the appropriate operating mode for the payload pattern. See Payload Pattern (BLER) or Payload Pattern (OTHER) for information on valid operating modes.
3. Press More on the lower left corner to display the Control menu ( 2 of 2 ).
4. Press the Protocol Control ( F4 ) to display a list of protocol layers.
5. Press LLC (F3) .
6. Press Payload Pattern (F2) . This displays a Payload Patterns menu similar to the figure below.
