How Do I Gain Access to All the EGPRS Multislot Configurations?

Last updated: December 2, 2008

This section is only applicable when the test set's operating mode is Active Cell (EGPRS). If you wish to gain access to all the EGPRS Multislot Configurations while the test set's operating mode is EGPRS BCH+PDTCH see Gain Access to All EGPRS Data Rate Configurations .

Some multislot configurations are not selectable by default when the system type is EGPRS. You can gain access to these configurations by setting the value of the EGPRS Data Rate Configuration parameter to All. However, the performance of the unsupported data rate configurations is not guaranteed.

CAUTION
You may need to upgrade the hardware in your test set before installing the application firmware described here. If you install application firmware on a test set with incompatible hardware, the following may occur:

  • Your test set may lock up.
  • The application may not run.
  • Some features in the application may not be accessible, or may not perform to specifications.

Please review the hardware requirement information at

http://www.agilent.com/find/8960upgrades

to determine if a hardware upgrade is required for your testing needs.
