How Do I Configure the Test Set for My Test System?

A. Configure instrument information and setup.

  1. Press the SYSTEM CONFIG key.
  2. Press the Instrument Setup ( F1 ) key.
  3. Change an Instrument Setup Value and then press the Close Menu ( F6 ) key.

   
CAUTION
Always verify that the test set is responding to a new LAN IP Address by pinging the test set. If the test set does not respond to the ping, cycle power. This will ensure that the test set will respond to the new LAN IP Address.

   

B. Set amplitude offsets.

  1. Press the System Config button on the right side of the screen.
  2. Press the RF IN/OUT Amptd Offset ( F5 ) key on the Configuration Summary screen shown in part A.
  3. On the RF IN/OUT Amplitude Offset screen, press the RF IN/OUT Amptd Offset Setup ( F2 ) key.
  4. Enter the test frequencies and their associated amplitude offsets. Twenty test frequencies and amplitude offsets can be set.
  5. Press the Close Menu ( F6 ) key.
  6. Press the Return ( F6 ) key to return to the Configuration Summary screen.

C. Check the message log.

  1. Press the System Config button on the right side of the screen.
  2. Press the Message Log ( F7 ) key and view the message log.
  3. You can clear the message log by pressing Clear Message Log ( F10 )
  4. Press the Return ( F12 ) key.
