How to Configure Access Burst Power Control

Press the
Call Setup
key.

Press
BCH Parameters
(

). The menu on the right now displays the BCH Parms.

Press
Cell Band

) and select the appropriate cell band from the popup menu.

Operating Mode

) and select
Cell Off
from the popup menu. The configurable parameters for controlling access burst power are only available when the test set's operating mode is
Cell Off
.

Cell Info

).

Select
Cell Parameters

).

Scroll to
MS TX Power Max CCH (GSM or GPRS)
and select it.

Scroll or use the keypad to enter the power level you want. Once you've entered a new value, notice that the value the
Cell Parameters
area of the Cell Info screen displays changes to match the power level you've specified.
For example, If the Cell Band is set to PGSM, and you set the MS TX Power Max CCH (GSM) to level 7 (which corresponds to 29 dBm), the maximum power the mobile station is allowed to transmit on the contol channel is 29 dBm.
