How Do I Access the Medium Access Control (MAC) Parameters?

This section is only applicable to the lab applications.

You can configure the medium access mode used and the associated parameters from the front panel using the following procedures.

Procedure

Press the CALL SETUP key.
Press Operating Mode (F1) and select Active Cell with the serving cell as GSM, GPRS, or EGPRS.
Press Data Conn Type ( F2 ) and select Auto.
Press the left More key to advance to Control menu (2 of 3 ).
Select Protocol Control ( F4 ).
Select RLC/MAC ( F2 ).
Select MAC Control ( F2 ). The MAC Control menu appears with all the configurable parameters.
