GPIB Command Conventions

CALL[:CELL]:(PBCCH|PBCChannel)[:STATe]

Function	GSM TA	This command is not applicable to the GSM Test Application.
	GPRS TA	This command is not applicable to the GPRS Test Application.
	EGPRS TA	This command is not applicable to the EGPRS Test Application.
	GSM/GPRS LA	This command sets/queries the PBCCH channel state. The PBCCH can only be enabled in the Cell Off operating mode. Attempting to change this setting while in any mode other than Cell Off results in the following error message: "GPRS operation rejected; Attempting to set BCH parameter while generating a BCH."

	GSM/GPRS LA	This command sets/queries the ARFCN for Neighbour Cell <n>, where <n> is any integer 1 to 32. The Packet Broadcast Control Channel (PBCCH) state must be enabled for this parameter to take effect.

	GSM/GPRS LA	This command sets/queries the maximum GPRS MS TX Power parameter. This parameter controls the maximum TX power level an MS may use when accessing the network via the PBCCH.

	GSM/GPRS LA	This command sets/queries the Network Control Non-DRX (discontinuous reception) Period. 3GPP TS 05.08 states, "In non-DRX mode, the MS shall only increment/decrement DSC (downlink signaling failure counter) for one block per DRX period according to its paging group."
	EGPRS LA
Setting		Range: 0 to 7, which corresponds to 0, 0.24, 0.48, 0.72, 0.96, 1.20, 1.44 and 1.92 seconds. 3GPP TS 44.060 section 11.2.23 shows the values in the NC_NON_DRX_PERIOD (3-bit field) bit 3 2 1 0 0 0 0 sec 0 0 1 0.24 sec 0 1 0 0.48 sec 0 1 1 0.72 sec 1 0 0 0.96 sec 1 0 1 1.20 sec 1 1 0 1.44 sec 1 1 1 1.92 sec Resolution: 1

	GSM/GPRS LA	This command sets/queries the number of bits used in the PRACH of the PBCCH. This setting can only be changed while in the Cell Off operating mode. Attempting to change this setting while in any mode other than Cell Off results in the following error message: "GPRS operation rejected; Attempting to set BCH parameter while generating a BCH."

Setting		Range: 8 or 11
