CALL:TCHannel[:ARFCn][:SELected]
CALL:TCHannel[:ARFCn]:(DCS|EGSM|GSM450|GSM480|GSM750|GSM850|PCS|PGSM|RGSM|TGSM810)
|
Function
|
GSM TA
|
Sets/queries the channel number of downlink and uplink TCH for the specified traffic band. See
Configuring the Traffic Channel (TCH) Parameters
. The optional [:SELected] keyword in this command specifies that the cell band being set or queried applies to the currently selected traffic band.
The TCH ARFCN may be set and queried when the CALL:STATUS:STATE is idle or connected, see
CALL:STATus[:STATe][:VOICe]?
.
The setting, query, and *RST value depend on the which traffic band is used.
If this command is attempted while there is an active DTM connection or while the test set is in a DTM test operating mode, it is stored and applied when the test set is no longer in Dual Transfer Mode.

Sets/queries the TX Level FACCH Signaling parameter.
When TX Level FACCH Signaling is set to on, the base station emulator uses both a FACCH (Fast Associated Control CHannel) channel assignment and an update to the SACCH (Slow Associated Control CHannel) header to signal the mobile to change to a new power level.
When TX Level FACCH Signaling is set to off, the base station emulator uses only an update to the SACCH header to signal the mobile to change to a new power level. A FACCH channel assignment message is not sent. This setting is useful if you want to update the SACCH header's TX Level field without performing a channel assignment.
The setting of TX Level FACCH Signaling can be changed in either of the test set's two operating modes, Active Cell or Test mode.

Sets which hopping sequence the test set uses to switch between available frequencies for the GSM traffic channels. There are 64 different hopping sequences, numbered from 0-63. When the Hopping Sequence Number (HSN) is zero, it corresponds to a cyclic hopping sequence. All other HSNs correspond to different pseudo random hopping sequences.
If this command is attempted while there is an active DTM connection or while the test set is in a DTM test operating mode, it is stored and applied when the test set is no longer in Dual Transfer Mode.

This command sets/queries the state of Mobile Allocation (MA) Table configuration for GSM data traffic channels. If the configuration state is OFF you can update the MA Tables manually. If the configuration state is ON the test set automatically populates the MA Tables for each cell band with the applicable values in the CA Table. The command to set the CA Table entries is:
CALL:CA:TABLe
.
If this command is attempted while there is an active DTM connection or while the test set is in a DTM test operating mode, it is stored and applied when the test set is no longer in Dual Transfer Mode.

This command sets/queries the power reduction level for the unused bursts on the downlink traffic channel. In addition, it can also be used to turn power reduction off (no power transmitted) for the unused bursts.
When Frequency Hopping is turned on, The timeslots needed for transient settling are the three consecutive ones preceding the active timeslot. Therefore, when frequency hopping is on and the power reduction level of the unused bursts are not set to OFF, all unused timeslots, excluding two timeslots which are reserved for transients settling, will be filled with dummy bursts. Note, although the adjacent timeslot to the left of the active timeslot is considered part of the timeslots needed for transient settling, however, it will be filled with dummy burst.
The value of PRL1 and PRL2 can be set with the GPIB command
CALL:TCHannel:PREDuction:LEVel([1]|2)
Note: In order to make use of power reduction levels, you must set the downlink traffic channel to be on a different ARFCN from the broadcast channel (BCH). This is because the power level across all timeslots on the BCH must remain constant. Therefore, power reduction levels are ignored if the BCH and TCH are on the same ARFCN.

|
This command sets/queries the Timeslot number used for downlink and uplink Traffic Channel.
See
Configuring the Traffic Channel (TCH) Parameters
.
If this command is attempted while there is an active DTM connection or while the test set is in a DTM test operating mode, it is stored and applied when the test set is no longer in Dual Transfer Mode.
Timeslot 0 can be used for Traffic Channel only when the ARFCN of BCH and TCH do not match, otherwise the TCH timeslot setting will revert back to its previous value. Note, if BCH and TCH use different bands, Timeslot 0 is available even if the ARFCN of BCH and TCH match.
