Calling Party Number Parameters

Last updated: January 15, 2009

This section is only applicable to the lab application.

The test set allows you to specify the calling party number (CPN) parameters sent to the called mobile station so that you can evaluate the mobile station's behavior in response to the CPN (for example, to see whether the mobile station displays the calling party's number as expected).

When you originate a call from the test set, the calling party number parameter is sent to the called mobile station via the SETUP message. See How Do I Perform Calling Party Number Verification? for the detailed procedure.

When you send SMS messages, the test set also allows you to enter the originating address. The address setting for messages is different from that for calling party number. See Originating Address for more information.

Operating Considerations

The Calling Party Number feature is only applicable to UE-terminated CS services ( AMR Setup and the called UE when establishing a Video Call ).

Parameter Descriptions

The following gives the parameter and value descriptions defined in 3GPP TS 24.008 Section 10.5.4.9.

If Exclude is selected, the parameters are not included in the message.
