Function

Sets/queries PS Data HS-DSCH 64QAM Configured State.

This setting is only used when "PS Data HS-DSCH MAC Entity" is "MAC-ehs". CALL:HSDPa:SERVice:PSData:RLC:DOWNlink:HEXTension:SVALue

Function

Sets/queries Downlink Flexible AM RLC Header Extension Special Value.

This setting controls whether the "Use Special HE Field Value" IE is present and configured to the UE in L3 signalling.

  • When set to EXCLude, this IE is not present when the test set configures the UE's RLC and a 15-bit Length Indicator (LI) is used for each AM RLC PDU.
  • When set to INCLude, the "Use Special HE field value" IE is included to configure the UE's RLC in L3 signalling. In this case, the Length Indicator (LI) is not included in the AM RLC PDU, instead, a special value of HE field (binary '10') is used to indicate the RLC PDU contains exactly one RLC SDU.

This setting is only used when the "PS Data HS-DSCH MACEntity" is "MAC-ehs" and the "Downlink AM RLC Mode" is "Flexible".

Setting

Range: INCLude | EXCLude

CALL:HSDPa:SERVice:PSData:RLC:DOWNlink:MAXimum:PDU:PSIZe

Function

Sets/queries DL Maximum Flexible AM RLC PDU Payload Size.

This setting controls the downlink maximum flexible AM RLC PDU payload size. If the AM RLC SDU size is greater than this setting, it is segmented to multiple RLC PDUs so that the payload in each PDU is equal to or less than this setting. The payload size in those PDUs which are not the last one is set to this setting, the remaining segment will be put into the last RLC PDU.This setting is only available when PS Data HS-DSCH MAC Entity is MAC-ehs and Downlink AM RLC Mode is Flexible.

Query

Range: 38 to 1503 bytes

*RST Setting

CALL:HSDPa:SERVice:PSData:RLC:DOWNlink:MODE

Function

Sets/queries Downlink AM RLC Mode.

This setting is only used when the "PS Data HS-DSCH MAC Entity" is "MAC-ehs". This setting controls whether downlink AM RLC working in fixed mode or flexible mode:

  • When set to "fixed", the "PS Data HS-DSCH MAC-d PDU Size" will be used as the fixed mac-d pdu size (RLC PDU size).
  • When set to "flexible", the "PS Data HS-DSCH MAC-d PDU Size" will not be used any more. Instead, flexible AM RLC PDU Size will be used in the downlink AM RLC layer and RLC layer will not do segmentation based on RLC PDU size. Every AM RLC SDU will be exactly packed into a RLC PDU.
