SYSTem:APPLication[:CURRent][:NAME]?

Function

Queries the name of the currently running application.

To query the revision of the currently running application, see SYSTem:APPLication[:CURRent]:REVision? .

To switch applications, see SYSTem:APPLication:SELect[:NAME] and SYSTem:APPLication:SELect:REVision .

Queries the license status for the specified application/revision. The application/revision does not have to be installed in the test set.

The query must include a parameter for the application name and revision, enclosed by single quotes and separated by a comma. For application names and revisions, see SYSTem:APPLication:CATalog[:NAME]? and SYSTem:APPLication:CATalog:REVision?<sp>'<application name>' . Note that the application name and revision parameters are not case-sensitive.

  • "LIC" indicates this is a licensed application/revision.
  • "NLIC" indicates this is not a licensed application/revision.
  • "PART" indicates that not all of the formats in this application/revision are licensed. (To determine the license status of each format, see SYSTem:APPLication:FORMat:LICense?<sp>'<format name>' .)
  • "UNKN" indicates that license status is unknown.

Sets the revision that will be loaded when the application is switched to using the SYSTem:APPLication:SELect[:NAME] command.

To determine what application is to be switched to, see SYSTem:APPLication:SELect[:NAME] . To determine what revisions are stored on the test set for the specified application, see SYSTem:APPLication:CATalog:REVision?<sp>'<application name>' . To determine the license status of a revision, see SYSTem:APPLication:CATalog:LICense?<sp>'<application name>','<revision>' .

GSM Mobile Test revisions prior to A.04.00 did not have application switching and provide no way to return to revisions that have switching. If you switch to a GSM Mobile Test application revision prior to A.04.00, the only way to return to a newer revision is by downloading it using the process for upgrading firmware.
