Programming an HSDPA Reporting of Channel Quality Indicator Measurement

This example is for Active Cell Operating Mode .

This section provides an example of how to make Reporting of Channel Quality Indicator measurements via a remote program. The following program example assumes that the UE is connected to the RF IN/OUT connector, the appropriate Amplitude Offsets are set and the UE has attached to the test set.

The basic procedure to perform the Reporting of Channel Quality Indicator measurement is as follows:

  1. Set the Reporting of Channel Quality Indicator setup parameters as desired using the SETup:HRCQuality commands as well as non-measurement specific test set parameters that are called out in the 3GPP standards (see Parameters that Affect the HSDPA Reporting of Channel Quality Indicator Measurement ).
  2. Use the INITiate:HRCQuality command to start the measurement.
  3. Use the FETCh:HRCQuality query to obtain the measurement results (or use the READ:HRCQuality? command to both initiate and fetch the measurement as a sequential operation).
