HSDPA Reporting of Channel Quality Indicator Troubleshooting

Possible Setup Issues

The Reporting of Channel Quality Indicator measurement can only be performed on a Radio Bearer Test Mode connection with a Channel Type of12.2k RMC + HSDPA .
If you experience unexpectedly high BLER results in the BLER versus CQI Sense part of the measurement, ensure that FRC Type is set to a configuration supported by your UE.
If you setMeasurement Timeout toOn , ensure that theMeasurement Timeout value is greater than the time the measurement needs to measure the desired Number of CQI Reports to test and the desired Number filtered ACK/NACK responses to test .
During front panel operation of this measurement, you must press the START SINGLE key to initiate the measurement.
Ensure that you have met the Reporting of Channel Quality Indicator Input Signal Requirements .
Measurement results are influenced by any amplitude offsets that are entered, since the level into the UE is altered.
There are several parameters that are not specific to this measurement that must be set in order for this measurement to complete without error messages and in order to comply with 3GPP TS 34.121 9.3.1. See Parameters that Affect the HSDPA Reporting of Channel Quality Indicator Measurement .

Check to see if an integrity indicator other than 0 (normal) was returned with the measurement result (see Integrity Indicator ).

IfMeasurement Timeout (2) is returned, the value you entered for the measurement may be too small for the Number of CQI Reports to test and the Number filtered ACK/NACK responses to test . In this case, either reduce the number of reports to test or increase the timeout value.
IfUnsupported Configuration (22) is returned, you must set Channel Type to12.2k RMC + HSDPA .
