Activate PDP Context Reject SM Cause

When Activate PDP Context Reject State is On , you may specify what value is sent in the SM Cause information element using the Activate PDP Context Reject SM Cause setting. From the front panel, you may choose from the valid causes specified in 3GPP TS 24.008 10.5.6.6.

If you select Custom Value from the front panel, a value of 0 is sent to the UE.

The CALL:SERVice:GPRS:REJect:CAUSe command allows you to send any value between 0 and 255 to the UE, even those not mapped to a cause in the standard. If you send a value other than those listed in the above table via the GPIB command, the front panel setting displays CUSTOM .

Activate PDP Context Accept SM Cause 52

The setting specifies what value is sent in the SM Cause52 information element in the PDP Context Activation Accept Message. This setting is applicable when UE requested PDP Type is IPv4+IPv6 and DUT IP Version is set to IPv4 + IPv6, or when UE requested an additional primary PDP context's PDP Type is IPv4+IPv6 and DUT IP 2 Version is set to IPv4 + IPv6.

You can specify one of the following SM causes in the test set:

• When set to NONE , SM Cause52 field is not included in the PDP Context Activation Accept Message, and the test set assigns an IPv4v6 address to the PDP context.
• When set to IPV4 , "SM Cause (52) - Single address bearers only allowed" is included in the PDP Context Activation Accept Message, and the test set overrides the PDP type requested by the UE to IPv4 for this PDP context.
• When set to IPV6 , "SM Cause (52) - Single address bearers only allowed" is included in the PDP Context Activation Accept Message, and the test set overrides the PDP type requested by the UE to IPv6 for this PDP context.
