Connection Closing State

Connection Closing State

Last updated: May 24, 2006

In the connection closing state, the test set is in the process of closing the data connection.

To close a TAP/ETAP data connection, send the CALL:FUNCtion:DATA:STOP command or select End Data Connection . ( F3 on Call Control). You can close the connection at any time, and the data connection will be taken to the session open state.

( only for lab application ) The connection closing may result in the data connection going to Dormant State or Session Open State (depending upon whether the PPP connection is maintained or not). See Packet Data Connection Call Flow .

The connection closing state is a transitory state (see TAP/ETAP Data Connection Processing Lifecycle and Packet Data Connection Processing States Lifecycle ).

To query the state of the data connection, see Data Connection State Synchronization .
