Idle State Subtype In Use

This section is only applicable to the lab application.

In Active Cell operating mode and IS-856 Test operating mode, the Idle State Subtype In Use shows you which protocol subtype of Idle State Protocol is currently in use or expected by the test set.

• If the Cell Operating Mode is set to IS-856 _TM , Idle State Subtype In Use represents the Idle State Subtype used to control the test set.
• If the Cell Operating Mode is set to Active Cell , Idle State Subtype In Use shows the Idle State Subtype in current use. When there is no session established, the test set is internally configured to Default . When there is a session negotiation, it is set to either Enhanced or Inter-RAT as appropriate. As for the case of Optimized Handoff from E-UTRAN to eHRPD in which the session is negotiated via S101 tunnel, Idle State Subtype In Use will be set to Inter-RAT .

It is displayed on the Configurable Attribute Info window on the Access Network Info screen or can be queried with CALL:STATus:PROTocol:ISTate? .
