When the
Idle State Subtype
is set to
Enhanced (Subtype 1)
, Small Slot Cycle Allowed attribute determines how the Slotted Mode is negotiated during a session negotiation.
The Small Slot Cycle Allowed attribute is a "Configurable Attribute" for Enhanced Idle State Protocol as defined in the C.S0024 standard. It is configured during the session negotiation.
Small Slot Cycle Allowed determines whether Slot Cycles of less than 256 slots (0.4266 seconds or Slot Cycle value 0x6) can be set.
On
, the Access terminal and access network can propose a value of SlotCycle that is below 256 slots.
Off
, the Access terminal and access network will not propose a value of SlotCycle that is below 256 slots, thus any of Slot Cycle 1, Slot Cycle 2, or Slot Cycle 3 of Enhanced Idle State Protocol are not allowed to set to a value below 256 slots, see
