A device-specific error indicates that the instrument has detected an error that occurred because some operations did not properly complete, possibly due to an abnormal hardware or firmware condition. For example, an attempt by the user to set an out of range value will generate a device specific error.
These are general errors generated by the core instrument. When one of these errors is generated, the `+100 errors' bit in the questionable error status register is set.

The Enhance Variable Rate Codec (EVRC) is used when encoding and decoding analog (voice) signals for the traffic when service option 3 (SO3) is in use. The EVRC algorithm are protected and can not be legally used in our test set. This error is presented when the test set needs to execute the EVRC algorithms such as service option set to SO3 and Voice Service Option Audio set to Multi-Tone. In this condition, the test set sets the Voice Service Option Audio to Null Frames and presents this error message. Keysight Technologies continues to work with the licensors to reach favorable terms in which this restriction can be removed. See Voice SO Mode . |
