Call Setup Reject/Ignore Setup Overview

Call Setup Reject/Ignore Setup enables/disables the test set to ignore/reject Call Setup during mobile originating call.

Call Setup Reject/Ignore Setup Parameters

• Call Setup Ignore State
  • If you set the Call Setup Ignore State to off , the test set will not ignore the Call Setup . Meanwhile, you can further set Call Setup Reject State to reject/accept the Call Setup .
  • If you set the Call Setup Ignore State to Ignore, the test set will act like the message is never received.
  • If you set the Call Setup Ignore State to Ignore- Call Proceeding, the test set will only send the Call Proceeding message.

  When Call Setup is ignored, when and who to release the call depends on the timer T303 and T301, see Configurable Timers . If T303 expires first, MS should start to release the call. If T301 expires first, the test set will start to release the call.

  The command to set the Call Setup Ignore State is

  CALL:PPRocedure:CSETup:IGNore[:STATe] .

• Call Setup Reject State

  When the Call Setup Reject State is set to off , the test set will not reject the Call Setup . When the Call Setup Reject State is set to ON , the test set will send Release Complete message to clear the call. And you can customize the Call Setup Reject Cause of the message via MUI or RUI.

     

  NOTE

  When the specific OTA message is ignored, the corresponding OTA reject settings are not applied regardless the Call Setup Reject State is set to ON or OFF.

• Call Setup Reject Cause

  You can choose which cause value will be sent to the MS in the Call Setup Reject message. The reject causes are listed below:

  • 00000010 (#2) - IMSI Unknown inHLR
  • 00000011 (#3) - Illegal MS
  • 00000011 (#4) - IMSI Unknown in VLR
  • 00000011 (#5) - IMEI Not Accepted
  • 00000110 (#6) - Illegal ME
  • 00000111 (#7) - GPRS Services Not Allowed
  • 00001000 (#8) - GPRS/Non-GPRS Services Not Allowed
  • 00001001 (#9) - MS Identity Cannot Be Derived
  • 00001010 (#10) - Implicitly Detached
  • 00001011 (#11) - PLMN Not Allowed
  • 00001100 (#12) - Location Area Not Allowed
  • 00001101 (#13) - Roaming Not allowed In This LA
  • 00001110 (#14) - GPRS Services Not Allowed In This PLMN
  • 00001111 (#15) - No Suitable Cells In Location Area

Call Setup Reject/Ignore Setup Operations

You can initiate a Call Setup Rejection procedure by doing the following:

• Make sure the mobile station is Attached
• Change the operating mode to Cell Off
• Press Call Setup
• Press Protocol Control( F4 ) 2 of 4
• Press Call Control ( F1 ) 2 of 2
• Press Call Setup Rej/Ignore Setup ( F2 )
• Set the Call Setup Ignore State to Off
• Set the Call Setup Reject State to ON
• Change the operating mode to Active Cell .
