SETup:BLERror:BBLocks

Function

GSM TA

This command is not applicable to GSM.

GPRS TA

This command sets/queries the BLER Bad Block Handling parameter. The BLER Bad Block Handling parameter setting determines how the bad blocks are handled by the BLER measurement.

This command is only applicable to loopback BLER measurements. (Refer to BLER measurement method usage .)

There are two settings:

  1. Include -The blocks that fail the CRCs (frame check sequence) are included in the BLER calculation.
  2. Exclude- The blocks that fail the CRCs are excluded from the BLER calculation.

NOTE
A block is defined as bad if :
  • At least one of the four expected bursts has not been received by the test set.
  • The demodulation quality of at least one of the bursts was questionable.
  • The block has failed the frame check sequence (CRC). (Each block that fails its CRC will cause the CRC error count result to increment, regardless of the BLER Bad Block Handling setting.) The CRC count result can be obtained using the command FETCh:BLERror:CRC? .

GSM TA

This command is not applicable to GSM Test Application.

GPRS TA

This command is not applicable to GPRS Test Application.

EGPRS TA

This command is not applicable to EGPRS Test Application.

GSM/GPRS LA

This command sets/queries whether the actual number of blocks measured is equal to the Number of blocks to test.

When the parameter is set to Normal, the actual number of blocks measured is always equal or larger than the Nuber of blocks to test.

When the parameter is set to Enhanced, the actual number of blocks measured is exactly equal to the Number of blocks to test.

The GPIB command to set the Nubmer of blocks to test is SETup:BLERror:COUNt .

Function

GSM TA

This command is not applicable to GSM.

GPRS TA

This command sets/queries the number of blocks to measure.

When the Data Connection Type is set to BLER, and depending on the block polling interval setting (see CALL:FUNCtion:DATA:BLOCk:POLLing:INTerval[:SELected] ), the number of blocks actually tested may be larger than the number you specify using this command. The actual number of blocks tested is returned by FETCh:BLERror:PPAir1:BLOCks? .

SETup:BLERror:LDControl:AUTO

Function

GSM TA

This command is not applicable to GSM.

GPRS TA

This command sets/queries the loopback delay control mode.

If loopback delay control mode is automatic (ON), the test set determines the block delay value that allows the correlation between uplink and downlink data.

If loopback delay control mode is manual (OFF), the test set uses the block delay you specify using SETup:BLERror:MANual:DELay .
