    • [34.121 Call Config] Set Secondary Cell HSDPA Conn HS-SCCH 1 Level to -13 dB .
    • [34.121 Call Config] Set Secondary Cell HSDPA Conn HS-SCCH 2 Level to -13 dB .
  14. Set DL Channel and Uplink Channel to the proper mid range frequencies for your UE's operating band (under Channel (UARFCN) Parms ( CALL SETUP , F12 ).
  15. Set Operating Mode ( F1 ) to Active Cell .
  16. Set any other parameters needed to establish a connection with your UE, then power on the UE and wait for it to register (attach).
  17. Select Originate Call ( F3 on Call Control 1 of 6 ).
  18. Set UL CL Power Ctrl Mode to Active bits (under Call Parms 3 of 3 , UL CL Power Control Parameters ( F8 ) (this is the default value).
  19. [34.121 Call Config] Set UE Target Power ( Call Parms 3 of 3 , F7 ) to -2 dBm. This value is determined as follows. UE Target Power only sets the DPCCH+DPDCH power level of the UE. In order to achieve a total output power of 0 dBm as required by 3GPP TS 34.121-1 table 6.3D.4, you must set UE Target Power to 0 dBm - Power change due to HS-DPCCH. Power Change Due to HS-DPCCH = 10log 10 (Beta c ^2 + Beta d ^2 + Beta hs ^2) - 10log 10 (Beta d ^2 + Beta c ^2) = 2 dB, so you must set UE Target Power to -2 dBm .
  20. Set UL CL Power Ctrl Mode to Alternating bits .
  21. Press the Measurement Selection key and select Channel Power.
  22. Select Channel Power Setup ( F1 ).
    • Set Auto Range to On .
    • Verify the UE's Channel Power is 0 dBm ± 1 dB.
  23. Press the Measurement Selection key and select HSDPA Block Error Ratio .
  24. Select HSDPA Blk Error Ratio Setup ( F1 ).
    • Set Number of blocks to test to 1000 .
    • Leave the Block to Test Specified Per Serving Cell to its default Off .
    • Set Trigger Arm to Single .
  25. Select Change View ( F2 ), then DC-HSDPA BLER ( F2 ).
  26. Press the START SINGLE key to begin the measurement. Wait approximately 3 seconds for the measurement to complete. Verify that the Information Bit Throughput on either the Serving Cell or the Sec Serv Cell exceeds 11800 kbps, as required by 3GPP TS 34.121-1 table 6.3D.2.
