UMTS Test USIM Card

Introduction

The Keysight USIM has been configured to complement the operation of your 8960 test set when running any W-CDMA/HSDPA test or lab application. It is a 2FF/3FF combination card (normal/micro size combination) and can be ordered using part number E5515-10009 (contact your local Keysight sales representative or see www.keysight.com/find/contactus).

The USIM has several benefits:

UMTS security variables within the USIM match the default settings of the W-CDMA test and lab applications.
Setup time is reduced because the USIM is configured with the same default IMSI and PLMN values broadcast from the test set.
For dual-mode testing, GSM speech loopback is supported for GSM Bit Error Ratio (BER) measurements.

The Keysight USIM supports operating voltages of 1.8, 3 and 5 volts (class AB).

The Keysight USIM is based on the Gemalto "GemXplore 3G V2.2", with some Agilent-specific settings. If desired, you can further modify the USIM's settings using the Gemalto "GemXplore Admin for 2G (with GemXplore 3G Option)" software, which you must purchase separately from Gemalto.

The USIM must be ordered using part number E5515-10008. The part number printed on your USIM simply indicates the revision of your USIM. Select the part number printed on your USIM to view its Agilent-specific settings:
