B (1xEV-DO-B)
,
Multicarrier Setup Parms
menu can be set by first selecting
Multicarrier Info
(
F4

Local Testset Configuration
determines the carrier configuration of the local test set, whether it is in single mode or in multi-carrier mode, and if it is in the multi-carrier mode, whether it is the Main unit or an Auxiliary unit.
Main
: the local test set is configured as the Main unit (used for signaling) for multi-carrier multi-unit (MCMU) mode. It will be used to set and configure the main carrier parameters, along with which the auxiliary carrier parameters of the associated Aux unit(s).
Auxiliary
: the local test set is configured as an Auxiliary unit (referred to an Aux unit providing traffic channel but without signaling) for multi-carrier multi-unit (MCMU) mode. The Aux unit generates the Aux carrier whereas the Main unit coordinates the overall traffic connection and session (including any over-the-air settings that configure the Aux carrier). When a test set is configured as an Aux unit, it is partially controlled by the associated Main unit. You may not have access to some parameters on an Aux unit when in multi-carrier multi-unit configuration, see
Multi-carrier Multi-unit Setting Interactions
for the detailed information.
Single
: the local test set is configured to operate as a single unit for single mode.Note that the Local Testset Configuration is only allowed to be set if there is no traffic connection present.
Auto Setup External 8960 1 State
sets whether the External 8960 1 (Aux unit 1) is to be configured and connected automatically during
Automatic Multi-carrier Setup
in multi-carrier configuration.
Auto Setup External 8960 2 State
sets whether the External 8960 2 (Aux unit 2) is to be configured and connected automatically during
Automatic Multi-carrier Setup
in multi-carrier configuration.
Manual Operation: When the
Protocol Rel
is set to
B (1xEV-DO-B)
and the
Local Testset Configuration
is set to
Main
, the Aux carrier information can be set by first selecting
Multicarrier Info
(
F4
) on the
Call Control 2 of 3
menu in the
Call Setup
screen, then selecting
Aux Carriers Infor
.
The value of the parameters in
Aux Carriers Info
menu is set on the Main unit and will be sent to the Aux unit(s) via LAN but can not be directly set on the Aux unit(s). See
Aux unit(s)
.
Carrier State
sets the carrier state of the Aux unit 1. If the Aux unit 1 is connected with the Main unit, setting Carrier State to On indicates that the traffic connection between Aux unit 1 and AT can be setup. If the Carrier State is set to Off, the RF output of the aux unit 1 will be turned off.
On
, see
Fixed Settings
.
Channel
sets the channel number of the Aux unit 1, with the same description as it is on the Main unit. See
Channel
.
PL3 Fwd Traffic Format
sets the F-Traffic Format of the Aux unit 1, with the same description as it is on the Main unit. See
F-Traffic Format
.
R-Data Pkt Size
sets the R-Data Pkt Size of the Aux unit 1, with the same description as it is on the Main unit. See
R-Data Pkt Size
.
DRC Value Fixed Mode Attribute
sets the DRC Value Fixed Mode Attribute of the Aux unit 1, with the same description as it is on the Main unit. See
DRC Value Fixed Mode Attribute
.
ACK Channel Bit Fixed Mode Attribute
sets the ACK Channel Bit Fixed Mode Attribute of the Aux unit 1, with the same description as it is on the Main unit. See
ACK Channel Bit Fixed Mode Attribute
.
ACK Channel Modulation
sets the ACK Channel Modulation Type of the Aux unit 1, with the same description as it is on the Main unit. See
ACK Channel Modulation Type
.
ACK Channel Gain
sets the ACK Channel Gain of the Aux unit 1, with the same description as it is on the Main unit. See
ACK Channel Gain
.
DRC Channel Gain
sets the DRC Channel Gain of the Aux unit 1, with the same description as it is on the Main unit. See
DRC Channel Gain
.
DRC Length
sets the DRC Length of the Aux unit 1, with the same description as it is on the Main unit. See
DRC Length
.
When the AT is assigned multiple Reverse CDMA Channels, if it does not have sufficient power to sustain all the assigned Reverse CDMA Channels,
Channel Drop Rank
is used for the AT to stop transmission (drop) on a Reverse CDMA Channel with the lowest Channel Drop Rank.
Aux Carrier 2
Parms has the same parameter settings as
Aux Carrier 1 Parms
, with the difference that all the parameters listed in Aux Carrier 2 Parms applies for Aux unit 2 if it is also connected with the Main unit. For each parameter description, see
Aux Carrier 1 Parms
.
Manual Operation: When the
Protocol Rel
is set to
B (1xEV-DO-B)
, the
Multicarrier Information
is displayed in the
Call Setup
screen when
Multicarrier Info
(
F4
) on the
Call Control 2 of 3
menu is selected.
Testset Configuration
is shown on each test set to indicate the local test set configuration, whether it is a Main unit or an Auxiliary unit. See
Local Testset Configuration
.
Local Carrier State
is shown on each test set to indicate whether the carrier from the associated unit is included in the traffic connection. See
Carrier State
for the carrier state configuration.
Connected Carriers
is shown only on the Main unit to indicate the number of carriers present in the current traffic connection.
External Device Status
is shown only on the Main unit to indicate the connection status of the associated external 8960 unit which is the same status as in LAN Connection Information window in
External Device Connection
. When the External Device Status is Connected, the IP Address of the connected test set is also displayed after the status. Note that this is not included in Multicarrer Multi-Unit Connection Status window when the
Local Testset Configuration
is Auxiliary.
Max Number Forward Link Supported
is reported by the AT during the session negotiation to indicate the number of carriers supported in the forward link.
Max Number Reverse Link Supported
is reported by the AT during the session negotiation to indicate the number of carriers supported in the reverse link.
Max Sub-Active Sets
is reported by the AT during the session negotiation to indicate the maximum number of sub-active sets it will support.
Max Forward Link Bandwidth No Jammer
is reported by the AT during the session negotiation to indicate the maximum bandwidth of the forward link without a jammer.
Max Forward Link Bandwidth Jammer
is reported by the AT during the session negotiation to indicate the maximum bandwidth of the forward link with jammer.
Max Reverse Link Bandwidth
