Configuring the Forward Fundamental/Traffic Channel (F-FCH/Traffic)

Last updated: February 15, 2011

The following parameters can be configured for the F-FCH channel (for IS-2000 system) or F-Traffic channel (for IS-95 system).:

Settable F-FCH/Traffic Parameters

Operating Considerations

Both fundamental channel (IS-2000 system) and traffic channel (IS-95 system) use the same command CALL[:CELL[1]]:TRAFfic[:FORWard]:DRATe to set the data rate.

When changing F-FCH/Traffic Walsh codes, the call processing state must be idle.

If the data rate is changed while a voice service option (SO1, SO3, SO17, SO68 or SO32768) is selected, the data rate value will be stored for use when a loopback service option is selected.

If the audio tone is changed while a loopback service option is selected, the audio tone value will be stored for use when a voice service option is selected.

If the echo delay time is changed while the audio tone is not voice echo, the delay time value will be stored for use when audio tone is set to voice echo.

Parameters can be queried from the test set regardless of the state of the test set.
