Call Waiting Parameters

Call Waiting Parameters

Last updated: May 10, 2006

This section is only applicable to the lab application.

In the Call Waiting test, the test set needs to simulate a second calling party. The parameters for calling party 2 (Calling Party 2 Number, Calling Party 2 Type, Calling Party 2 Plan, Calling Party 2 Presentation Indicator and Calling Party 2 Screening Indicator) are similar to those of calling party 1 (see Calling Party Number Parameters for details). But unlike calling party 1 related settings, calling party 2 related settings are only used in the Call Waiting test. During the test, calling party 1 and 2 parameters can be specified and included in the Flash With Information Message (FWIM) or Extended Flash With Information Message (EFWIM) (only applicable to protocol revision 7 and above) sent to the mobile station when there is a waiting call.

You can configure the Calling Party Number Parameters from the Calling Party Number Parms menu which is accessed by pressing F3 ( Call Waiting Info ) on Call Control 5 of 5 menu. The parameter settings are detailed in Parameters Description .

After setting, the parameters you set is displayed in the Call Waiting Information screen.
